How to add a checkbox to a document (contract, quote, questionnaire, form)?
You can easily add checkboxes (mandatory or optional) to your various documents: contracts, quotes, questionnaires or contact forms.
This can be particularly useful if you use online bookings or mini-sessions.
To do this, activate the Checkboxes module in the menu:
👉 Modules > Checkboxes
You can then:
- Create as many checkboxes as you need,
- Define the text associated with each checkbox,
- Specify whether a checkbox must be ticked to validate the document
- Choose which documents they should appear in.

Difference between a mandatory and non-mandatory checkbox
In the checkbox configuration:
- Mandatory → the client will see a checkbox that must be ticked to continue.
- Non-mandatory → the client will now see a mandatory Yes/No choice (radio buttons).

This allows you to get an explicit response from the client, for example for:
- Newsletter subscription,
- Image rights,
- Acceptance of certain options.
Display of Checkboxes
The checkboxes will be visible to your clients when they fill out or sign the document online.
- In contracts, they appear before the contract signature block
- On quotes, they appear before the "Accept" button
- In questionnaires, they appear at the end of the questionnaire
- On contact forms, they appear at the bottom of the form, before the "Send" button.
You can choose exactly which documents to display them in by clicking the "Blue Gear" button, allowing you to show them only on specific contracts or forms, for example.
Image rights
If you want your clients to indicate whether they accept the use of their images for your self-promotion, simply enable the image rights checkbox linked to the relevant checkbox. This way, the self-promotion checkbox will be marked as "Yes" if your clients tick it.
Reminder: An "image rights" checkbox cannot be pre-ticked under GDPR, as GDPR requires that a person's consent for the use of their image must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. A pre-ticked box does not comply with these principles because:
- Freely given consent: The individual must be able to express their agreement without constraint or influence, by ticking the box themselves.
- Positive action: GDPR requires a clear action from the user (such as ticking a box), not just passive acceptance.
- Transparency: The individual must be informed about how their image will be used and must actively agree to this use.
Newsletter subscription
If you want to offer your clients the option to subscribe to your newsletter when submitting a form, simply enable the Newsletter subscription option linked to the relevant checkbox.

When a client answers Yes to this question in the contact form, their email address will be automatically added to your newsletter mailing list.
This can be useful to:
- Send your news updates,
- Share your mini-session offers,
- Announce promotions or events,
- Stay in touch with your prospects and clients.
