# How to apply a discount on a quote or invoice?

When you create or modify a quote or invoice, you have two options for applying a discount:

* You can apply a discount percentage (%) only on one line. To do this, locate the line where you wish to apply the discount and fill in the "Discount (%)" column. This allows, for example, to apply a discount only on an option and not on the package.

* You will find a `Discount` button next to the button for adding a new line. By clicking on it, you can enter in the new window a percentage (%) or value (€) amount and a description.
