# How to apply a workflow to a shooting?

Applying a workflow to a shooting means that all the scheduled tasks and emails from the workflow will be copied into this shoot, and the relative dates (D-1, etc.) will be replaced by actual dates (the creation date of this shoot, the confirmation date of this shoot, and the date of this shoot).

There are 3 ways to apply a workflow to a shoot:

###### 1. Choose a default workflow for a type of shoot

You can set a default workflow by type of shoot. This way, every time you create a shoot of this type, the chosen workflow will automatically be applied to it.

You just need to modify your type of shoot in [Settings > Data > Types of shoots](https://www.fotostudio.io/app/project_types) and associate it with a default workflow.

###### 2. Apply a workflow when creating a shoot

When you create a shoot, you have a _"Workflow"_ field and you can thus choose the workflow to apply to this shoot.

###### 3. Apply a workflow to an already created shoot

In a shoot file, at the bottom of the left column, you will find the `Apply a workflow` button. Click on it to apply the workflow of your choice. This button allows you to apply several workflows to the same shoot.
