# How to create a voucher / promo code?

You can create a discount in the form of a voucher to share with your clients so they can apply it on a booking.

To create a new voucher, go to [Settings > Modules > Vouchers](https://www.fotostudio.io/app/discounts).

Then choose:
* the voucher code
* the number of vouchers available
* the type of discount: fixed amount or percentage
* the validity period
* the discount amount

Vouchers can be used by the client in 2 places:
* in your online bookings
* when you ask the client to choose their rate (see the article [How to ask my client to choose their rate?](/fr/article/comment-demander-a-mon-client-de-choisir-son-tarif-t7179l/))
