How to create pricing?

Entering your different rates in Fotostudio will save you valuable time later when sending price offers to your clients, creating quotes, and invoices. Also, if you ask the client to choose a rate via bookings or gift vouchers, you will need to have entered your rates.

The menu Shootings > Rates (or Modules > Rates) allows you to create and manage your different rates.

Manage your rates

Click the New rate button to create a rate and fill in the different fields. A rate can be associated with one or more shooting types. This rate will then only be usable for the selected shooting types.

New rate

Overview
  • Rate name
  • Description: this text is visible to your clients in quotes and invoices. Use it to clearly describe the service offered.
  • Illustrative photo
  • Badge: you can add a small label highlighting a rate: “Recommended”, “New”, “Limited Edition”, etc.

Price and Tax

The accounting section allows you to define whether it is a service or a product.

What’s the difference? Service: you sell a service (photo session, retouching, support…), even if it results in a final physical item. Product: it is a good you buy to resell as is, without transformation linked to your service.

Service delivered electronically (available only for services): check this box if the service is automatically provided via the Internet, with little or no human intervention (e.g., access to an online gallery, file download, subscription).

VAT Code: The most important change concerns VAT: the free field for the VAT rate has been replaced by a selection of predefined VAT codes.

The available options depend on the information entered in My company, to ensure your rates and invoices are properly configured.

Configuration

Rate type

  • Session / package: complete service (e.g., portrait session, wedding, newborn pack).
  • Product / option: item added or sold separately (e.g., print, album, makeup, extra hour).

Category: allows you to organize your rates and structure your catalog for clearer client presentation.

Shooting type: defines for which shootings this rate will be offered.

Default duration: corresponds to the pack duration for a shooting. Options can also have a duration (e.g., makeup option: +30 min).
