How to create shoot packages? How to use associated shoots?

If you offer packages (maternity & newborn, wedding & engagement, etc.), you will need to create multiple shoots associated with each other.

You will create the main shoot which will serve as a reference for the administrative part (contract, quotes, invoices, etc.).

Then, in the file of this main shoot, you will find a button Add an associated shoot at the bottom of the left column. This button allows you to create a second shoot, which will be linked to the first.

In the window, you can choose the settings for your associated shoot like its type, date, workflow, etc.

Then, there are two scenarios:

1. The client selects a package from the beginning



In this case, all the administrative part will take place in the main shoot, you should leave the option "Use the main shoot for the contract and billing" activated.

In the new shoot created, you will not need to create a contract, quotes, and invoices because everything will be managed in the main shoot.

2. The client chooses one shoot and then another later, without going through a package



In this case, you will need to have an administrative part in the associated shoot since this part was not managed in the main shoot. You will therefore need to deactivate the option "Use the main shoot for the contract and billing".

In the new shoot created, you can create a contract, quotes, and invoices for the part that has not yet been billed.

Case No. 1



The client wishes to order a maternity + newborn package.

I create the main shoot of the Maternity type, which will contain the quote, contract, and invoices for the package.

I create an associated shoot of the Newborn type, leaving the option "Use the main shoot for the contract and billing" checked because I will not need to bill in this new shoot, since everything will have been managed in the main shoot.

Case No. 2



The client wishes to order a wedding service.

I create the main shoot of the Wedding type, which will contain the quote, contract, and invoices for the wedding service.

Later, but before the wedding, the client wants to order an engagement session as well.

I create an associated shoot of the Engagement type, unchecking the option "Use the main shoot for the contract and billing" because I will need to bill in this new shoot, since only the wedding part will have been managed in the main shoot.
