# How to schedule the sending of an invoice?

Workflows allow you to automatically send your invoices to your clients. The invoice will be generated for you and sent to your client, on the date of your choice.

This is very convenient for example to send the balance invoice on the day of the shoot. Or, to bill a service in several installments, with for example an invoice 2 months before the shoot, another 1 month before, etc.

In your workflow, click on the `Add > Automatic email` button. In the _"Action"_ field, choose the sending of the invoice of your choice.

||| The options offered are the payment plans you have created in [Settings > Modules > Payment plans](https://www.fotostudio.io/app/payment_plans). If you wish to send an invoice for a specific amount, consider creating a payment plan first.
