# How to send an SMS to my contact?

Fotostudio offers an SMS sending module for your clients. Before sending an SMS, make sure you have SMS credits in [Messaging > Settings > SMS Credits](https://www.fotostudio.io/app/mobile_messages/credit_amount) or [My Account > SMS Credits](https://www.fotostudio.io/app/mobile_messages/credit_amount).  (https://www.fotostudio.io/app/mobile_messages/credit_amount).

# Manually

You can send an SMS from a contact's file (icon next to their phone number) or from the [SMS](https://www.fotostudio.io/app/mobile_messages?type=sent) menu.

# Automatically

You can send an automatic SMS via a workflow. More information in the [Workflows](https://help.fotostudio.io/en/category/the-workflows-1jrzq08/) category.

||| An SMS is limited to 160 characters. Beyond that, you will send (and pay for) several SMS.
