How to set up administrator and guest access rights in a gallery?
With the introduction of the first features called "Wedding" (but which work for all galleries), you can now configure different accesses on a gallery.
We will distinguish between the administrator client (the married couple, the main client of the shooting...) and the guests (in the form of access groups).
When creating a new gallery, you can choose access protected by an access code and set the access code for this gallery. This access code will become that of the administrator client.
The administrator client and the photographer have the possibility to create access groups for guests and to hide photos/folders from certain groups.
Only the administrator client can add photos to their favorites (not the guests). This list is visible only to them and the photographer.
By accessing the gallery with this access, the administrator client and the photographer have an "Access Management" menu located in the "My Account" button.
On this page, there is a group called "Complete Gallery," which is present by default in all galleries protected with an access code. As its name suggests, this group has access to all photos in the gallery, and it is not possible to hide photos from it.
If you do not wish to create new groups and hide photos, you can directly share the access link to the gallery of this group with all guests.
On this same page, there is an "Add a Group" button that allows you to create a new group.
All created access groups are visible on this page, as well as the list of hidden photos for each group.
You will also find the access link to share for each group.
By default, all photos in the gallery are visible to all groups.
In the gallery, on each photo and folder, there is a "Lock" icon 🔓 visible.
By clicking on it, you will see the list of your access groups, and you can uncheck the group(s) to whom you want to hide the photo or folder.
You can also create a new group from this window.
You could create a "Family" group and a "Guests" group.
The "Family" group would have access to most photos, except for some that the married couple or the photographer may choose to hide (such as some preparation photos, for example).
The "Guests" group would have more limited access to photos. The married couple or the photographer could choose to hide the "Preparations" folder and some photos from the evening.
You could choose not to create a group and share the access link of the "Complete Gallery" group with grandparents, uncles, and aunts, etc.
