Is it possible that my client received their gift voucher without paying their invoice?

This is not possible if the client does not pay online for their invoice when ordering the gift voucher.

As a photographer, you receive the voucher but the client receives nothing.

It will be up to you to send the voucher if you wish in Settings > Modules > Gift Vouchers with the Actions > Send button.
