Lightroom Plugin
Fotostudio Gallery — The Lightroom Classic plugin to publish your galleries
Presentation
Fotostudio Gallery is a plugin for Adobe Lightroom Classic that allows photographers to send their photos directly from Lightroom to a Fotostudio gallery, without going through a manual export followed by a web upload.
The principle is intentionally simple: Lightroom continues to do what it does best (file rendering, format management, quality, resizing) and the plugin simply acts as a thin sending layer on top. You keep all your usual export settings, you just add a destination: your Fotostudio gallery.
What the plugin allows you to do
Note: the plugin only supports new galleries and publications made from Lightroom. No synchronization of your current Fotostudio galleries is planned since we don't have your RAW files in our possession.
1. Publish and sync collections (Publish mode)
The plugin integrates with Lightroom's Publish Services panel. This transforms a Lightroom collection into a persistent link to a Fotostudio gallery:
- Each published collection is associated with a Fotostudio gallery (and possibly a folder).
- New photos added to the collection are sent during publication.
- Removed photos from the collection are deleted from the corresponding Fotostudio gallery.
- The link remains active over time: you republish whenever you want to update the gallery.
2. Retrieve client feedback in Lightroom (metadata)
The plugin adds custom metadata fields fed from
Fotostudio, directly visible in the Lightroom catalog:
- ♥ Liked — whether the photo has been liked by the client.
- ♥ Likes — number of likes.
- Order — order status (ordered, to retouch, etc.).
- Views — number of views.
Since these fields are searchable, you can create smart collections (e.g., "all liked photos" or "all photos to retouch") and drive your workflow based on client feedback.
Installation
Preliminary step: Start by downloading the FotostudioGallery plugin directly from your account's gallery settings in the Lightroom Plugin section
- Open Lightroom Classic.
- Go to File → Plug-in Manager.
- Click Add and select the
FotostudioGallery.lrpluginfolder. - The plugin should appear under the name Fotostudio Gallery with the status Installed and running.
Be careful not to move the plugin once installed in Lightroom. If you do, you'll have to redo this configuration.

Connection to your Fotostudio account
Authentication is done via a personal access token generated in your Fotostudio account settings.
- Generate the token in Fotostudio and copy it to the clipboard.
- In the publish service, go to the Account section and paste the token.
- Click Save token.
Your token is stored securely by Lightroom. It never appears in log files and is never transmitted in a URL.

Publishing a collection to a Fotostudio gallery with the Lightroom plugin
Here are the step-by-step instructions to publish photos to a Fotostudio gallery:
- In the Publish Services panel, configure the Fotostudio Gallery service (token connection).
- Create a published collection and associate it with a Fotostudio gallery.
- Drag your photos into the collection.
- Click Publish: new photos are sent, removed photos are deleted from the gallery.
- Republish at any time to sync the gallery with your collection.
At the publish service level, you have the option to create a published collection, as mentioned above. You also have the option to create a "published collection set".
Here's how Fotostudio handles these 2 options:
- Published collection: a gallery is associated with it and the photos will be published in a single folder, selected in the collection configuration window.
- Published collection set: a gallery is associated with the collection set. You can then add published collections to it, each representing a folder in the gallery.
