# What is a workflow?

A workflow is **a list of steps or tasks** that you will have to carry out throughout your relationship with a client. From the first contact to the delivery of the final photos.

In Fotostudio, a workflow allows you to **schedule automatic email sendings** and **add tasks** to your calendar.

Once you have created your workflows, you can automatically apply them to all your shoots.

For example, you could schedule automatic emails of this type:
* Automatic sending of a reminder email the day before the shoot
* Automatic sending of the balance invoice on the day of the shoot
* Automatic sending of a thank you email the day after the shoot
* etc.

And for tasks:
* Photo retouching task 5 days after the shoot
* Task to publish photos on your website 20 days after the shoot
* etc.
