Managing your galleries on mobile

Gallery management is now designed to be used comfortably from a phone, while remaining available from a computer.

Management adapted to mobile

Navigation and the main screens have been redesigned to be easy to use on a small screen:

• A navigation bar at the bottom of the screen gives quick access to the main sections.
• The full menu opens in a drawer.
• The Back button takes you up one level in the management area, rather than back to the previous page in your browser history.
• The lists of galleries, orders and invoices are shown as cards, which are easier to read on mobile. For galleries, the card also shows the cover photo.
• Photo management works directly with your finger: long press to select several photos, an adapted action bar and a photo sheet that opens in a drawer.
• The Orders and Order details pages have also been adapted for mobile use.
• Screens that need too much precision to be used properly on a phone remain reserved for the computer for now. A "Available on computer" message lets you know it is not a missing feature. These screens will be adapted gradually where possible.

Install the management area as an app

The Fotostudio management area is also a PWA (Progressive Web App).
In practice, it is still the same website: you do not need to download an app from the App Store or the Play Store. After a few visits, your phone or computer may offer to install the management area.
Once installed:

• a Fotostudio icon appears on your home screen;
• the management area opens full screen, without the browser's address bar;
• it launches faster;
• no manual update is needed.

How do I install the management area?

After a certain number of visits, an installation prompt appears directly in the management area.
Just follow the instructions shown to add Fotostudio to your home screen.

New versions are flagged automatically

Installing it as a PWA also brings a new way of handling updates.
If a new version of Fotostudio is released while you already have the management area open, an "A new version is available" alert appears.
Click Refresh to switch to the latest version right away.
You do not need to clear your browser cache or reload the page several times to get the new features.
