By default, your contracts include a checkbox for the client about image rights: "I authorize the photographer to use the photos for his own promotion (website, social networks, ...)."

This checkbox lets you ask your client for permission to use their photos for your self-promotion (posting them on your website or social networks, for example). Legally, you must ask for permission.

You can still disable this checkbox or change its text if you wish. To do this, go to Modules > Checkboxes, Contracts tab.

• To change the text, edit it in the field, then click the ✓ button on that line.
• To remove it from all your contracts, delete it with the bin icon.
• To choose which contract(s) it appears in, click the blue gear next to the checkbox, then tick or untick each contract template.

The Self-promotion line on the shoot page

The checkbox has the Image rights option. This is what links it to the "Self-promotion" line on each shoot page. If the client ticks the box (or answers Yes), "Yes" is shown. This gives you a quick view of the permission the client has given you.

You can also click the Yes / No button on the "Self-promotion" line of the shoot page manually.
