What is a variable?

Hello {firstname}!

Here, {firstname} is a variable. It's a tag you can insert into your emails and contracts. The variable's name is wrapped in curly braces {}.

With variables, you can write email and contract templates that are the same for all your clients, but that are personalized thanks to variables.

Examples:

At the beginning of your emails, you can write "Hello {firstname}" and the {firstname} variable will automatically be replaced by your client's first name.
In your contract, you can add the {shoot_date} variable and the shoot date will automatically be added to your contract, without having to do it by hand.

You can open the list of available variables wherever you edit text, with the Variables button (label icon 🏷) in the text editor. When you select a variable, it is inserted where your cursor is.
